Now when the window is closed & people lash out they're still blasted for it. By the same people who were at it two weeks ago ? Most probably. Is it certain we won't win the league with Almunia in goal ? No, but it is highly likely. Is he rubbish ? No, clearly not. Is it ok to have a keeper who's average for the league & still expect to compete to win it ? Of course not. If Almunia regaings his best form is it still enough ? Most likely not. Some facts are undeniable; he is not in the same league as our recent title-winning keepers (Seaman,Lehmann). He is also not in the same league as recent title-winning keepers for other clubs. (Van der Saar,Cech) This has gone on since May 2008. It is frankly shocking management by Arsene. Disgraceful imo. Here's a thought for some of you ? If you're not angry about the goalkeeping situation then why don't you fuck off & stick to rugby or whatever your real passion is. Find that offensive ??? Good.
