Round-up of Vieira, Matuidi, Di Rossi and all the Arsenal speculation
No time for a written blog this morning, but I’ve rounded up the mountain of speculation in an audio post. Arsene addresses the media this afternoon. Much as Vieira returning appeals and there does appear something to it, I’m not convinced from reading this morning’s papers that it’s a genuine goer.
Feedback on audio blogging welcome… I appreciate some people at work etc will struggle to listen to it.

That would be something – a proven World Cup winner, and only 26 yo.
i my mind that would seal the team for this season. I’ll even buy a shirt with Di Rossi on the back should he sign for Arsenal.
Come on, Wenger !!!! This is the real deal !!!!

I like this audio post, you should do more of these. Better summary than most blogs and I actually remember what I heard compared to the gazillion blogs which I skim quickly!

cute idea but i’m never going to be able to listen to it at work.
secondly, I can read far quicker than I can listen. So, not a fan of audio blogging.

Up until last week not a dickie was talked about Di Rossi.Now working nights i got about 2 hours work and the rest of it i read everything on Arsenal newssnow to pass the time,last week in the replys on a site someone said,and quoted a comment from someone from ANOTHER site stating that he had inside info saying Di Rossi and Huntlaaer will be signed on the 2nd of august,but also how they would get into trubble if they got found out.The point i`m trying to make is,one of two things,1,if on the 2nd we find out Di Rossi does sign,the one who originally made that comment was indeed telling the truth and is a clever man.Or 2,if it turns out to be a whole heap of bollox,i`m pretty sure someone in the media has run with this story,that has come from a quote,from a person in the comments section on a blogsite,and the rest has followed,because i know that is the one and only time that that name was and has been mentioned anywhere before now.How desperate are they,the media that is.

This is exactly what happened in reguards to the Lorik Cana situation,i was watching it unfolding on a daily basis,a couple of blogs,at the end of last season runs with who we should bring in”Cana looks good”gets quoted replys gets filled up with”yea,lets get Cana”(even though they dont know who the fuck he was until he got mentioned by the infleuntial blog writer)sports writers brouse these sites gets to know the name of the moment,and hey presto”ARSENAL WANT CANA”headlines appear in the papers to fuel the supporters desire for the want of names.so mr butzis when or should i say if the Di Rossi deal dosen`t happen,don`t be diserpointed like many others have done,if they actually thought about it we were never,ever,thinking about getting Cana so why use unnessary emotions over it

DI Rossi? Oh, for heaven’s sake … stop it! Breathe. And get a grip quickly! Do you really think AW is going to spend significantly more than £15M on any one player. It’s not what he does.
If anyone comes in this TW it’ll be a Nasri or a Silvestre … that’s a Chamakh, Matuidi, or a Vieira. These are the types he goes for. Arshavin was the exception. There was a world class player available for around £15M. (And what do you think Arsenal could get for him this summer if we wanted to sell.)
So, unless Danielle DE Rossi is half price … dream on.

like the audio blog. I still think we will buy this window once the middleeastlands club and Real more money than sense have stopped flashing the cash. Meanwhile the press will make up what ever it takes to make news I heard that we are about to resign charlie george as well as PV

I do believe that there will a drastic action from AW due to lack of experience in the middle . Consistently Arsenal needs a type of player like Viera who can hold the ball in the and defend as well. De rossi is like a dream….

Wonderful. My comments about Di Rossi were slightly tongue in cheek, but based on the fact that i am half Italian, and would love to see a full Italy international player in the Arsenal team. He’s also World Cup winner and since the departure of Gilberto Silva, we have no capable World Cup winners in our squad. I’m not counting Silvestre.
Realistically, i can’t see Di Rossi deal happening. It’s just not Wenger, and he’ll be too expensive …. but just for a moment, a single brief moment i thought of our midfield … Cesc & Di Rossi … European Champion and World Champion….. alas ….
as for Viera … a very very very long shot, methinks.
