Regurgitated news: Djourou reckons he will be fit for Man U
I PASS this on not as any kind of exclusive but because I can’t remember seeing it elsewhere and I imagine a fair of you were anxious to know:
Matt Scott of the Guardian was on the radio this afternoon and said he spoke to the player at Wembley on Saturday and Djourou reckons he will be back for United.

That would be good news, except let’s not forget, Djourou has given away just as many bad free kicks and made as many mistakes as silvestre. seriously, all this team needs is a god center half and we’d be great. what I wouldn’t give for vidic on this team…

While Djourou is not the long-term answer (at least not the way he’s played this season) he is a good prospect and the problem has been that he’s never got an extended run of games for whatever reason. (I hope he doesn’t go the Senderos way.)
That said, I would much rather have him in there than Silvestre thank you very much. Silvestre at the moment isn’t working.

chelsea havent been qutie the same since mourinho left. there defence is worse and there attack is less threatening plus there style of play when mourinho was there is now gone. chelsea might go on to win something this season but at least we dont have a team full of old player past there peak.

Joe Cole better than Nasri? When was the last time Joe Cole ever had a good performance? He’s a complete waste of space in the England squad and there’s a reason why Chelsea bought Malouda last year to replace him.
As for the player comparison, I think Arsenal will always be short of Chelsea, purely because Chelsea have purchased some of the biggest name players in the past 5 years. Ask most fans which team they’d prefer to have and watch? I think they’d choose Arsenal. Many ManUtd and Liverpool supporters would agree.

Chinaman, Chelsea are not better than Arsenal. You looked at the individual level, Arsenal never play as individuals. Even at the time of Thiery Henry. Whereas in some areas, individual players at Chelsea are better than at Arsenal’s, Arsenal play ‘the team’ game better than Chelsea’s.
Also i’m baffled at your own assessment of some arsenal players in relation to Chelsea’s. For instance, I don’t think Lampad is better that Fabregas, or Ashley Cole the same as Clichy. Ashley’s game has stagnated ever since he left Arsenal, because Chelsea plays a different game. When you say that Anelka is better than Adebayor, what do you base your analysis on?
For instance, although Anelka has 15 to Adebayor’s 10 in the PL, have you looked at the assists side, also the influence side?

Chavski, in the sprint tests Nasri is as quick as Walcott.
He doesn’t use it on the pitch often because he’s a creator not a ‘knock it past him’ player (similar to joe cole!).
joe cole is a very skillful player when he’s fit and can be bothered, but he can’t be called ‘fast’ by anyone with more than zero eyes. He’s quick footed and can sometimes use that to get past a defender but he isn’t fast! Although I suspect he’ll gain an extra yard when he eventually goes back to play for his beloved hammers.
Nasri is usually a better player but unfortunately he has the same habit as joe cole, they both go missing sometimes. The real difference is that Nasri is 21 while joe cole is…. how old?

Silvestre is rusty and he has lost a lot of pace due to his serious knee injury last season. Do you think Wenger should loan out Senderos and buy him? At least Sendy is good in cutting out all the high balls in the penalty area. In both our last 2 matches against Liverpool and Chelsea, we did not cut out the long ball into the penalty area and they resulted in sloppy goals.
We need Djourou back as soon as possible. Djourou would give us both height and pace. I cannot imagine Silvestre facing Ronaldo and Rooney in the CL semi-final. We would be roasted! Toure’s performance lately was not good as he was affected by Silvestre’s partbership. He needed a reasurring partner besides him like Campbell or Gallas to perform well.
